MALIBU SURFING ASSOCIATION’S MSA CLASSIC SET FOR FIRST POINT
Malibu, California. September 8, 2010 – The mainland’s premier club competition, the MSA Classic presented by the Malibu Surfing Association, will be held at Surfrider Beach, Malibu from September 11-12, 2010.
More than 275 invited athletes representing elite surfing clubs from California, Hawai’i, the East Coast, Australia, and Spain will come together to compete at First Point, Malibu, one of the sport’s iconic waves.

Standout performances included: Matt Cuddihy (Noosa Malibu Club), Tony Silvangi (Virginia Longboard Federation), Joe Rickabaugh (Ventura Surf Club), Mary Osborne (Ventura Surf Club), Kaitlin Maguire (Oceanside Longboard Surfing Club), and 8-year old Tiare Thompson (Windansea Surf Club).
Attending the MSA Classic is free of charge and open to the public. Early rounds begin Saturday, September 11th and run through Sunday, September 12th. Complete event information is online at msaclassic.com.
A portion of proceeds from the MSA Classic will be donated to organizations working with the MSA to improve water quality at Surfrider Beach. Major support for the 2010 MSA Classic is provided by Global Surf Industries.
